International Sales and Marketing Internship
We have an internship available for graduates within our rights department. This internship offers the opportunity to gain insight into an exciting and challenging area of book production.
Our International Sales and Marketing internship involves liaison with our major publishing partners around the world, supporting our international rights team. Duties include liaison with publishers, printing and sending out sales material, organising sales trips and book fairs, and assistance with rights negotiations. Second languages useful and exposure to international culture, such as having lived or worked abroad, is desirable.
You will support the Director with English language customers and the International Sales Director with our foreign language partners.
Sales experience, including any related retail positions, is favourable.
We are looking for candidates who are organised, professional, computer literate (Mac), and able to handle a busy and varied workload. Please note we are a small office and you will be expected to contribute as other staff to general office administration such as answering the telephone. Some office experience preferred.
Internships last for the duration of 4 weeks, ideally full-time; hours are generally 9.30-5.30pm but can be flexible.
The internship is unpaid; travel expenses for up to £50 per week will be reimbursed.
After the 4 week internship, there may be the opportunity of taking on a permanent role within the team.
